When a business says it has the “Best Breakfast Sandwich in Cincinnati”, you might roll your eyes and think to yourself “Suuuure ya do.”
But Cackleberry’s fans, friends and weekend sell outs (within hours of opening!) prove that statement to be true, over and over again.
The craft breakfast sandwich kitchen pops up in a different location each weekend, serving up six different “sammies” ranging from “Benny” - hickory smoked bacon, local pasture raised over medium egg, sharp cheddar cheese, caramelized onion and chipotle ketchup in a warm brioche bun to “Lola” –crisp spam, local pasture-raised soft tamagoyaki-style eggs (Japanese rolled omelet), chives and Sriracha mayo in a warm brioche bunto; “Mila”–local pasture raised over medium egg, avocado, arugula microgreens, everything cream cheese and romesco sauce in a warm brioche bun, and a few more delicious bites.
The idea, born from a love of the breakfast sandwich by China and Nate Kautz.
After many years of dreaming and scheming, the pair found a 1968 trailer, revamped it, and now tow it around Cincy to sling breakfast sammies to the Cackleberry faithful.
Foodie fans snag them fast, so, if you’re planning on popping by, get there early.
